Sui dynasty
Sui dynasty was an empire in North China (East Asia) that lasted from 581 to 618 CE, about 37 years. Its people spoke Chinese languages (Sinitic languages).
Reunited China in 589 after three centuries of division and built the Grand Canal linking the Yellow River and the Yangtze. Failed invasions of Goguryeo set off the revolts that ended it.
