Srubnaya culture
Srubnaya culture appears on the timeline as a people or culture of Russia and the Steppe (Europe) from c. 1800 to 1200 BCE, a span of 600 years. Its people spoke Iranian languages (Median, Persian, Parthian, Scythian, Sogdian, Pashto, Kurdish).
Also called the Timber Grave culture, after the log chambers under its kurgans. Its herders and copper miners spread from the Volga to the Dnieper and probably spoke an early Iranian language.
