Middle Assyrian Empire
Middle Assyrian Empire was an empire in Mesopotamia (Middle East) that lasted from 1365 to 912 BCE, about 453 years. Its people spoke Semitic languages (Akkadian, Amorite, Aramaic, Hebrew, Phoenician, Ge'ez, Amharic, Tigrinya).
Ashur-uballit I freed Assur from Mitanni, and Tukulti-Ninurta I sacked Babylon. The kingdom shrank during the Bronze Age collapse but held on to its Assyrian core.
