Roman Britain
Roman Britain was a colony in British Isles (Europe) that lasted from 43 to 410 CE, about 367 years. Its people spoke Latin and Romance languages (Latin, Italic, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Romanian).
Claudius invaded in 43, and Rome held England and Wales for nearly four centuries, building Hadrian's Wall in the 120s. The legions left, and in 410 Honorius told the cities to defend themselves.
