First Chinese domination (Han)
First Chinese domination (Han) was a colony in Vietnam (Southeast Asia) that lasted from 111 BCE to 40 CE, about 150 years. Its people spoke Chinese languages (Sinitic languages).
The Han dynasty ruled northern Vietnam as the commanderies of Jiaozhi, Jiuzhen and Rinan, at first leaving local Lac lords in place. Rising Han settlement and taxes led to the Trung sisters' revolt.
