British Cameroons
British Cameroons was a colony in West Africa coast and forest (North and West Africa) that lasted from 1916 to 1961 CE, about 45 years. The timeline colours it by the language of its rulers: Germanic (Gothic, Frankish, English, German, Dutch, Norse).
Part of German Kamerun occupied by Britain from 1916, later a League of Nations mandate administered with Nigeria. In a UN plebiscite in February 1961 the north joined Nigeria and the south joined the Federal Republic of Cameroon.
