German Kamerun (south)
German Kamerun (south) was a colony in West Africa coast and forest (North and West Africa) that lasted from 1884 to 1916 CE, about 32 years. The timeline colours it by the language of its rulers: Germanic (Gothic, Frankish, English, German, Dutch, Norse).
Southern part of Germany's colony of Kamerun, centred on Duala, where a Hamburg firm set up a trading post in 1868. Gustav Nachtigal signed a treaty with local rulers there in 1884. British, French and Belgian troops occupied it in the First World War.
