Free City of Danzig
Free City of Danzig was a state in Central Europe (Europe) that lasted from 1920 to 1939 CE, about 19 years. The timeline colours it by the language of its rulers: Germanic (Gothic, Frankish, English, German, Dutch, Norse).
A city-state under League of Nations protection, made up of the port of Danzig (now Gdańsk) and nearly 200 other localities, established in 1920 under the Treaty of Versailles. Local Nazis held a Senate majority by 1936, and Germany abolished it after invading Poland in 1939.
