Abkhazia
Abkhazia is a state in Caucasus (Middle East) that has existed since 1993 CE. The timeline colours it by the language of its rulers: Isolates and small families (Sumerian, Elamite, Hurro-Urartian, Etruscan, Basque, Ainu, Totonacan, Misumalpan, Mapudungun, Je).
Partially recognised state on the Black Sea that most countries regard as part of Georgia. Georgia lost control of most of it in the 1992 to 1993 war, followed by de facto independence and the ethnic cleansing of Georgians from the region. Russia recognised it in 2008.
