Azerbaijan People's Government
Azerbaijan People's Government was a state in Iran (Middle East) that lasted from 1945 to 1946 CE, about 1 year. The timeline colours it by the language of its rulers: Turkic (Gokturk, Uyghur, Seljuk, Ottoman, Kazakh, Tatar).
Short-lived, unrecognised Soviet-backed state in Iranian Azerbaijan, set up in November 1945 and led by the Azerbaijani Democratic Party with its capital at Tabriz. It ended in December 1946, as part of the Iran crisis, an early event of the Cold War.
