Emirate of Asir
Emirate of Asir was a state in Arabia (Middle East) that lasted from 1907 to 1934 CE, about 27 years. The timeline colours it by the language of its rulers: Arabic (Arabic-speaking states).
Emirate on the Tihamah coast of the Red Sea, founded in rebellion against the Ottomans by Muhammad ibn Ali al-Idrisi, great-grandson of the founder of the Idrisiyya Sufi order. Britain supported it in the First World War, and Saudi Arabia annexed it under the 1934 Treaty of Taif.
