Georgia
Georgia is a state in Caucasus (Middle East) that has existed since 1991 CE. Its people spoke Kartvelian languages (Georgian).
Independent since 1991, Georgia lost control of Abkhazia and South Ossetia in wars in the early 1990s and against Russia in 2008. The Rose Revolution of 2003 turned it toward the West.
