Kingdom of Altava
Kingdom of Altava was a state in Maghreb (North and West Africa) that lasted from 578 to 708 CE, about 130 years. The timeline colours it by the language of its rulers: Berber (Numidian, Tuareg, Amazigh dynasties).
Christian Berber kingdom at Altava in northern Algeria, a successor of the Mauro-Roman Kingdom. Under Kusaila it ambushed and killed Uqba ibn Nafi in 683 and forced the Arabs to evacuate Kairouan, before falling to the Umayyad conquest.
