Lagos Colony
Lagos Colony was a colony in West Africa coast and forest (North and West Africa) that lasted from 1861 to 1906 CE, about 45 years. Its people spoke Germanic languages (Gothic, Frankish, English, German, Dutch, Norse).
Britain annexed Lagos in 1861, claiming to suppress the slave trade, and made it a base for expansion into Yorubaland. It merged into Southern Nigeria in 1906.
