Malvinas under Buenos Aires
Malvinas under Buenos Aires was a colony in Southern Cone (South America) that lasted from 1820 to 1833 CE, about 13 years. The timeline colours it by the language of its rulers: Latin and Romance (Latin, Italic, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Romanian).
David Jewett claimed the islands for the United Provinces in 1820. Luis Vernet settled Puerto Luis and was named commander in 1829, and his seizure of American sealers brought a US raid in 1831. Its garrison left when HMS Clio came to claim them for Britain in January 1833.
