Belgium
Belgium is a state in France and the Low Countries (Europe) that has existed since 1830 CE. Its people spoke Germanic languages (Gothic, Frankish, English, German, Dutch, Norse).
Born from a revolt against Dutch rule in 1830, it industrialised early and ruled the Congo. Germany occupied it in both world wars, and Brussels now hosts the EU and NATO.
