German Samoa
German Samoa was a colony in Polynesia (Oceania) that lasted from 1900 to 1914 CE, about 14 years. Its people spoke Germanic languages (Gothic, Frankish, English, German, Dutch, Norse).
The Tripartite Convention of 1899 split Samoa and gave the western islands to Germany. New Zealand troops occupied them without a fight in August 1914.
