Colony of New Zealand
Colony of New Zealand was a colony in New Zealand (Oceania) that lasted from 1841 to 1907 CE, about 66 years. Its people spoke Germanic languages (Gothic, Frankish, English, German, Dutch, Norse).
Britain annexed New Zealand after the Treaty of Waitangi and made it a separate colony in 1841. The New Zealand Wars of the 1840s to 1870s led to large confiscations of Māori land.
