Ndebele Kingdom (Mthwakazi)
Ndebele Kingdom (Mthwakazi) was a state in Zambezi and Zimbabwe Plateau (Central and Southern Africa) that lasted from 1823 to 1894 CE, about 71 years. Its people spoke Bantu languages (Kongo, Shona, Zulu, Swahili, Luba, Ganda).
Mzilikazi broke with Shaka in 1823, crossed the highveld and, driven out by the Boers, settled north of the Limpopo around 1840. His son Lobengula lost the kingdom to the British South Africa Company in 1893 to 1894.
