Nyasaland
Nyasaland was a colony in Zambezi and Zimbabwe Plateau (Central and Southern Africa) that lasted from 1891 to 1964 CE, about 73 years. Its people spoke Germanic languages (Gothic, Frankish, English, German, Dutch, Norse).
Britain declared a protectorate over the Shire Highlands and Lake Malawi in 1891, partly at the urging of Scottish missions. John Chilembwe led a rising against settler planters in 1915.
