Emirate of Bukhara
Emirate of Bukhara was a state in Transoxiana and Khwarazm (Central and North Asia) that lasted from 1785 to 1920 CE, about 135 years. Its people spoke Turkic languages (Gokturk, Uyghur, Seljuk, Ottoman, Kazakh, Tatar).
The Manghit dynasty took the title of emir. Its rulers imprisoned and executed two British officers in 1842, became a Russian protectorate in 1868 and fled when the Red Army stormed Bukhara in 1920.
