County of Barcelona
County of Barcelona was a state in Iberia (Europe) that lasted from c. 878 to 1164 CE, about 286 years. Its people spoke Latin and Romance languages (Latin, Italic, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Romanian).
Wilfred the Hairy made the county hereditary in 878, and his heirs led the Catalan counties. Ramon Berenguer IV's marriage to the heiress of Aragon created the Crown of Aragon.
