Dutch Republic
Dutch Republic was a state in France and the Low Countries (Europe) that lasted from 1581 to 1795 CE, about 214 years. Its people spoke Germanic languages (Gothic, Frankish, English, German, Dutch, Norse).
The northern provinces renounced Philip II in 1581 and built the leading trading economy of the 17th century, with the Dutch East India Company and the Amsterdam exchange. French armies ended it in 1795.
