First French Empire
First French Empire was an empire in France and the Low Countries (Europe) that lasted from 1804 to 1815 CE, about 11 years. Its people spoke Latin and Romance languages (Latin, Italic, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Romanian).
Napoleon crowned himself emperor in 1804 and dominated the continent from Spain to Poland after Austerlitz. The Russian disaster of 1812 and Waterloo in 1815 ended it.
