Lordship of Ireland
Lordship of Ireland was a colony in British Isles (Europe) that lasted from 1171 to 1542 CE, about 371 years. Its people spoke Germanic languages (Gothic, Frankish, English, German, Dutch, Norse).
Henry II claimed the lordship after Anglo-Norman knights invaded in 1169 to 1171. By the 15th century English control had shrunk to the Pale around Dublin.
