Afsharid dynasty
Afsharid dynasty was an empire in Iran (Middle East) that lasted from 1736 to 1796 CE, about 60 years. Its people spoke Turkic languages (Gokturk, Uyghur, Seljuk, Ottoman, Kazakh, Tatar).
Nader Shah, a general from the Turkic Afshar tribe, crowned himself in 1736 and sacked Delhi in 1739, carrying off the Peacock Throne. After his murder in 1747 his heirs held only Khorasan.
