Principality of Iberia
Principality of Iberia was a state in Caucasus (Middle East) that lasted from 588 to 888 CE, about 300 years. Its people spoke Kartvelian languages (Georgian).
Georgian princes with Byzantine titles governed Kartli after the kingship lapsed, while Arab emirs held Tbilisi from 736. The Bagratid Adarnase IV restored the royal title in 888.
