Sierra Leone Colony
Sierra Leone Colony was a colony in West Africa coast and forest (North and West Africa) that lasted from 1808 to 1961 CE, about 153 years. Its people spoke Germanic languages (Gothic, Frankish, English, German, Dutch, Norse).
Freetown was founded in 1792 for freed slaves and became a Crown colony in 1808, the base of the Royal Navy's anti-slavery squadron. A protectorate over the interior followed in 1896.
