Spanish Marianas
Spanish Marianas was a colony in Micronesia (Oceania) that lasted from 1668 to 1898 CE, about 230 years. Its people spoke Latin and Romance languages (Latin, Italic, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Romanian).
Jesuit missionaries and soldiers subdued the Chamorro in the Spanish-Chamorro Wars, and Guam became a stop for the Manila galleons. Spain lost Guam to the United States in 1898 and sold its other islands to Germany in 1899.
