Jaunpur Sultanate
Jaunpur Sultanate was a state in Gangetic plain and Nepal (South Asia) that lasted from c. 1394 to 1494 CE, about 100 years. The timeline colours it by the language of its rulers: Iranian (Median, Persian, Parthian, Scythian, Sogdian, Pashto, Kurdish).
Founded in 1394 by Malik Sarwar, a eunuch slave and former wazir, as the Delhi Sultanate fragmented. Its Sharqi rulers reached their height under Ibrahim Shah. Bahlul Lodi's forces pushed Hussain Shah out, and sources date the end between 1479 and 1494.
