Timurid Empire
Timurid Empire was an empire in Afghanistan and the northwest (South Asia) that lasted from 1370 to 1507 CE, about 137 years. Its people spoke Turkic languages (Gokturk, Uyghur, Seljuk, Ottoman, Kazakh, Tatar).
Timur's heirs made Herat their capital after 1405, and under Shah Rukh and Husayn Bayqara it led the Persian world in painting, poetry and architecture. The Uzbek Shaybanids took Herat in 1507.
