Socialist Republic of Vietnam
Socialist Republic of Vietnam is a state in Vietnam (Southeast Asia) that has existed since 1976 CE. Its people spoke Austroasiatic languages (Khmer, Mon, Vietnamese, Munda).
Reunified in 1976 under the Communist Party, Vietnam invaded Cambodia in 1978 and fought a border war with China in 1979. The Doi Moi reforms of 1986 opened the economy and made it a major manufacturing exporter.
