Tooro Kingdom
Tooro Kingdom was a state in Great Lakes (Central and Southern Africa) that lasted from 1830 to 1967 CE, about 137 years. The timeline colours it by the language of its rulers: Bantu (Kongo, Shona, Zulu, Swahili, Luba, Ganda).
Kingdom of the Batooro south of Lake Albert, founded in 1830 when Kaboyo Olimi I, eldest son of the king of Bunyoro, seceded. Absorbed into Bunyoro-Kitara in 1876, it reasserted its independence in 1891. Uganda abolished its monarchy in 1967, and it was reinstated in 1993.
