Southern Song
Southern Song was a state in South China and Taiwan (East Asia) that lasted from 1127 to 1279 CE, about 152 years. Its people spoke Chinese languages (Sinitic languages).
The Song court re-established at Hangzhou after the Jurchens took the north. It had the world's largest cities, a navy, paper money and Neo-Confucian scholarship, and the Mongols ended it at the sea battle of Yamen in 1279.
