Yuan dynasty
Yuan dynasty was an empire in North China (East Asia) that lasted from 1271 to 1368 CE, about 97 years. Its people spoke Mongolic languages (Mongol, Khitan, Oirat).
Kublai Khan's dynasty, the first foreign rule over all of China. It built Khanbaliq, welcomed foreign merchants such as Marco Polo and failed twice to invade Japan; famine, plague and the Red Turban revolt drove it north in 1368.
