Grand Duchy of Moscow
Grand Duchy of Moscow was a state in Russia and the Steppe (Europe) that lasted from 1263 to 1547 CE, about 284 years. Its people spoke Slavic languages (Russian, Polish, Czech, Serbian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian).
Founded as an appanage for Daniel, son of Alexander Nevsky, Moscow gathered the Russian lands as the Horde's tax collector. Ivan III ended tribute to the Horde in 1480 and tripled his territory.
