Colony of Victoria
Colony of Victoria was a colony in Australia (Oceania) that lasted from 1851 to 1901 CE, about 50 years. Its people spoke Germanic languages (Gothic, Frankish, English, German, Dutch, Norse).
Separated from New South Wales in 1851, just as gold was found at Ballarat and Bendigo. The gold rush made Melbourne one of the largest cities in the British Empire.
