Gajapati Empire
Gajapati Empire was an empire in Bengal, Odisha and the northeast (South Asia) that lasted from c. 1434 to 1541 CE, about 107 years. The timeline colours it by the language of its rulers: Indo-Aryan (Vedic, Sanskrit, Prakrit, Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Sinhala).
Kapilendra Deva founded this Odisha monarchy after the last Eastern Ganga king, and at its peak it reached from parts of West Bengal to Tiruchirappalli in long rivalry with Vijayanagara. Govinda Vidyadhara killed the emperor's sons and took the throne.
