First Toungoo Empire
First Toungoo Empire was an empire in Burma (Southeast Asia) that lasted from 1510 to 1599 CE, about 89 years. Its people spoke Tibeto-Burman languages (Tibetan, Burmese, Newar, Pyu, Tangut).
Tabinshwehti and Bayinnaung built from the small state of Toungoo the largest empire in Southeast Asian history, conquering Ava, the Shan states, Lan Na, Ayutthaya and Lan Xang. It fell apart soon after Bayinnaung's death in 1581.
