Konbaung dynasty
Konbaung dynasty was an empire in Burma (Southeast Asia) that lasted from 1752 to 1885 CE, about 133 years. Its people spoke Tibeto-Burman languages (Tibetan, Burmese, Newar, Pyu, Tangut).
Alaungpaya founded Burma's last dynasty, whose armies sacked Ayutthaya in 1767 and repelled four Chinese invasions. Three wars with Britain from 1824 cost it Arakan, Lower Burma and finally Mandalay in 1885.
