Rhodesia
Rhodesia was a state in Zambezi and Zimbabwe Plateau (Central and Southern Africa) that lasted from 1965 to 1979 CE, about 14 years. Its people spoke Germanic languages (Gothic, Frankish, English, German, Dutch, Norse).
Ian Smith's white minority government declared independence from Britain in 1965 to avoid majority rule. International sanctions and the guerrilla war of ZANU and ZAPU forced a settlement in 1979.
