Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe is a state in Zambezi and Zimbabwe Plateau (Central and Southern Africa) that has existed since 1980 CE. Its people spoke Bantu languages (Kongo, Shona, Zulu, Swahili, Luba, Ganda).
Independent in 1980 under Robert Mugabe, whose army killed thousands of Ndebele civilians in the Gukurahundi massacres. Land seizures from 2000 brought economic collapse and hyperinflation, and a 2017 coup removed Mugabe.
