Comanche empire (Comancheria)
Comanche empire (Comancheria) was an empire in Great Plains (North America) that lasted from c. 1706 to 1875 CE, about 169 years. Its people spoke Uto-Aztecan languages (Nahuatl, Hopi, Comanche, Shoshone).
Horse-mounted Comanche bands that dominated the southern plains, raided deep into Mexico and took tribute from Spanish New Mexico and Texas. Quanah Parker's band surrendered in 1875.
