Tondo was a state in Borneo and the Philippines (Southeast Asia) that lasted from c. 900 to 1589 CE, about 689 years. Its people spoke Austronesian languages (Malay, Javanese, Cham, Tagalog, Malagasy, Polynesian, Maori).
A trading polity on the Pasig delta in Manila Bay, apparently named in the Laguna Copperplate Inscription of 900 CE, the oldest known Philippine document. Its last lords joined the failed Tondo conspiracy against Spain in 1587 to 1588.
